I promise when I use the words simple and delicious that this sauce manages to embody both of these definitions simultaneously. Most of these ingredients are staples in our kitchen cupboards and the sauce can be whipped up on a weeknight within minutes and drizzled over just about any savory recipe you are putting together, no matter how simple or complex the dish. Full disclosure you will need a blender or food processor for this recipe, but that is the most complicated part of the recipe.
Ingredients:
¼ cup peanut butter
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh ginger, chopped
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons maple syrup
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional!)
Water (used for thinning)
Blend all ingredients together in blender or food processor until smooth
Add water to thin sauce as needed to create desired consistency
Pour over everything you are eating and savor the flavor!
*This sauce is a perfect topping for rice bowls, stir fried veggies, sweet potatoes!
